Environmental Policy
eLocker operates an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001:2015. This policy sets out how we protect the environment, use resources responsibly and keep reducing our impact as we grow.

The environment, built into how we work
eLocker designs, builds and supports automated collection and return systems. Our environmental impact runs from the materials and energy in our hardware through to how those lockers are shipped, installed and run on customer sites for years afterwards. We manage that impact through an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001:2015.
This policy applies across the business: our offices and people, the products we make, and the suppliers and partners we work with. It is approved by our senior team, reviewed regularly, and available to anyone working for or with us. We would rather make steady, measurable progress than overstate what we have done.
What we hold ourselves to
Four commitments shape how we run the business, design our hardware and put lockers on customer sites. They are the standard we measure ourselves against.
Protect the environment
Prevent pollution and reduce the environmental impact of our operations, our products and the lockers we put on site. We consider that impact at the design stage, not as an afterthought.
Use resources responsibly
Source, build and run our hardware to make efficient use of materials, energy and water across its full working life, and design it to last so it is replaced less often.
Meet our obligations
Comply with all applicable environmental legislation and regulation, along with the other commitments we sign up to, and treat that as the floor rather than the ceiling.
Keep improving
Set objectives, measure performance and review the management system so it gets better year on year. Where we fall short, we say so and fix it.
Where we focus the work
Our commitments turn into four working objectives. We review progress against them as part of the management system, and update them as priorities change.
Cut our carbon footprint
Reduce emissions across our own operations and the way our products are made, shipped and run, starting with understanding where the biggest reductions can come from.
Reduce waste
Cut what we send to landfill through reuse, recycling and longer-lasting hardware, and design products that are easier to repair and recover at end of life.
Use energy efficiently
Lower the energy our offices and locker systems draw, and favour cleaner sources where we have the choice.
Build a sustainable supply chain
Work with suppliers and partners who share our environmental standards, and factor environmental performance into the decisions we make about who we buy from.
Held on file, in line with ISO 14001
Our ISO 14001:2015 system keeps the detail behind this policy current. We maintain the following and can share them on request:
- Measurable targets. Specific, time-bound environmental targets that we set and track progress against.
- Annual progress update. A yearly review of what we achieved against those targets.
- Climate change alignment. How our system addresses climate change, following the 2024 amendment to ISO 14001.
- EMS scope. A statement of the locations, products and activities our certification covers.
